Abstract

To confirm the biological rhythm of prematurity, I selected fifteen examples of prematurity without complication, whose gestational ages are 3137 weeks old and whose weights are 1.55 -2.32kg.
It measured vital sign, urinary flow and electrolyte for 72 hours. And use the cosinor analysis to inspect the biological rhythm and the results are as follows. The temperature of prematurity shows 24 hours, 6 hours and 1.5 hours cycle at once, urinary flows show 24 hours & 12 hours cycle, urinary electroclyte chloride show 12 hours cycle and ¢¥potassium show 24 hours cycle. But It cannot find out the biological rhythm in electrolyte sodi - um and exogenous rhythm, pulse & respiration.
Such a confirmed biological rhythm of prematurity is different from that of adult. But we should not overlook them even though children do not show the circadian rhythm. Instead we should increase the approaches for the still growing children on the basis of this fact.
Therefore I suggest we begin the new stage of nursing theory and practice on the ground of this study on the biological rhythm and produce comparative study on new-born baby and prematurity and its real cycle. Futhermore I propose we continue the experimental study centering on the hospital circumstances.
